Good Works Hub exists because we believe communities flourish when people come together to do good, seek justice, defend the oppressed and assist orphans and widows.
We believe that community transformation happens when people have; faith in a biblical supreme being who wants what is best for us and faith that with him we can change the wicked phenomenon that leads to death. We believe that this faith leads one to: humbly seek a stronger relationship with the supreme being; pray and to turn from wickedness; and turn toward loving our neighbors as ourselves, which we view as civic action.
We believe that people of faith want to make a difference. They want to volunteer, mentor youth, care for their neighbors, protect the environment, strengthen local organizations, and improve the places they call home. They want to help cultivate happier, healthier and more wholesome communities, that are more resilient, resourceful and just.
We also believe that civic action, or loving ones neighbor as oneself and discontinuing sin or negative actions that produce death, aligns with the outcome of health, helps to water the seeds of faith in a supreme being that wants what is best for us and faith that with his help we can change the wicked phenomenon that leads to death. Which in turn promotes more Civic Action.
We view that through the faith and civic action we can obtain optimum health and be ambassadors for the Kingdom of Heaven, which we believe is near.
Our theory of change is that if we can increase faith in God, we can increase civic action and improve health. With the link between faith and health mediated by action which includes humbly praying, asking for health and discontinue practicing actions of a wicked viscous nature and beginning practices that are virtuose specifically loving ones neighbor as oneself. Additionally, believe that Civic Action, or loving ones neighbor as oneself and discontinuing negative actions that produce death, increases our: faith in a supreme being who wants what is best for us; faith that with his help we can change wicked phenomenon that lead to death; faith that his instructions humbly seek his face and pray and seek to discontinue actions that are within the wicked cycle that produces death will produce health for our land.
Thus, Good Works Hub aims to build the infrastructure for optimum health through faith and civic action.

Core Values
2 Chronicles 7:14 instructs that, “when my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray and seek me, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” This scripture among others highlights the value of humility and the capacity for humility to aid us in seeking God, praying and turning for wicked ways. It also highlights a reward for humility that anchors our vision for happy, healthy and wholesome communities.
Micah 6:8 further defines what is good in saying “He hath shown thee, O man, what is good: and what does the Lord require of thee but to do justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with God.” This scripture articulates the command and requirement to walk humbly and also works to define what is good, anchoring this core value to the name, the mission and the vision of Good Works Hub.
Faith without works is dead. Jame 2:17 Action in this context represents works and specifically we strive to live out this core value to exercise our faith and act especially in context that would help us live out or mission and accomplish our vision.
We strive to lead like Christ who in many ways exemplified service to God and others. Interwoven into this notion of leadership is stewardship of what God has given us, including stewardship of our purpose and of earthly resources.
In many ways the Bible leads with creation and at Good Works Hub we aim to exercise our leadership capacity by helping to create happy, healthy and wholesome communities that are more resilient, resourceful and equitable.
For the race is not to the swift but those who do endure. We humbly seek to embody and engender endurance so that we may please God and fulfill our purpose.
As an organization we commit to our mission and vision and detract quickly from activities that do not align with them.
At its core Good Works Hub hopes to not only practice good works but to encourage others to do the same. The model that we have faith in is that of our Lord Jesus Christ, who famously practiced good works in a way that inspires people and transforms communities.
